  2. What is fertility test? This is a test done to assess the infertility of a person when he/she is found infertile even after having unprotected copulation for one year with the partner on a regular basis.

  3. Infertility in Men It affects 7% of all men. Male infertility plays a role in about 40 percent of all infertility cases, according to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).

  4. Causes of Infertility in Men Abnormalities in a man’s sperm or sperm delivery are the cause of infertility in men. Damaged sperm is the most common cause of male’s infertility. Other factors are - Chromosomal or genetic disorder. Retrograde or dry ejaculation Vasectomy or naturally occuring blockage Psychological, emotional, or spinal problems causing impotence Chemotherapy and radiantion that disrupt sperm producation

  5. Fertility test in men Fertility tests for men start with a urologist. He will ask question about your lifestyle and medical history such as • Surgeries you've had, Medications you take, Exercises habits, Whether you smoke or take recreational drugs. • Fertility test in men includes sperm testing, genetic testing, hormone level blood test, scrotal ultrasound, post ejaculatory urinalysis.

  6. Fertility tests Sperm testing: This will check for the amount of semen produced and shape of it. Genetic testing: If in sperm testing, sperm concentration is low it may indicate a genetic cause of infertility Hormone levels blood test: Blood test is done to check the male reproductive hormone, testosterone. Scrotal ultra sound:A transrectal ultrasound closely looks at the vesicles and ejaculatory ducts that transfer semen. Post ejaculatory urinalysis: Retrograde ejaculation is confirmed when sperm is found in man’s urine
