Overall GPS program reached IOC in 1993 and FOC in 1995 SVs Block I SVs (11) launched between 1978 and 1985 Block II SVs (28) launched Feb 1989 – Sep 1996 Block IIR SVs (21) started launching Jan 1997 Space segment consists of 24 operational SVs at a minimum in 6 circular orbits ~11,000NM above the earth at an inclination angle of 55 degrees with a 12-hr period.
