  1. Summative Presentation Miss Prewitt K5 Student Teacher

  2. Summative presentation intro This semester has been so fun to learn about technology and use many different forms of it to enhance learning! This has helped my students grow in their academic learning, but also me, as well. I have learned that school doesn’t have to be boring! I can create lessons that are informative AND interactive!

  3. Instructional Technology I used: Smartboard Pinterest ABCYA Nasa Website Godtube Weekly parent e-mails

  4. Smartboard Playing a math game during morning centers called Cookie Crunch!

  5. I used Pinterest for creative lesson plan ideas. One idea I found and used at the end of our 5 Senses Unit! We painted with M&M’s. It’s as easy as it looks and it smells and tastes delicious! This was done in my 2nd placement at Trinity Menasha in K5.

  6. We used this website often during computer lab time. It is a cheerful and educational website that includes games and activities based on: alphabetical order, upper-case and lower-case letters, counting numbers, connect the dots, numerical order, shapes, addition, e-storybooks and holidays.

  7. The K5 class and I watched Elmo videos from the NASA for kids site about being in space. We also made our own space shuttle based on what we saw in a demonstration video! We also watched a space song on Youtube and after that, the kids colored the planets while listening to the song again, quietly!

  8. We learned a new song and dance for the song: “We Are The Children of God” by Steven Curtis Chapman. We watched the lyric video on Godtube. Here the students are raising their hands to come up and dance in front of the school for that song!

  9. Weekly E-mails to Parents! Every Friday after school, I would send a e-mail home to parents about special events/stories from our weekin K5. I asked lots of mystery readers to come in and surprise the class. The bottom left picture is when my Dad came in to read. The bottom right picture is the shirt that the class gave me at the end of my placement. I thanked the parents in the weekly e-mail for the shirt and expressed gratitude for how welcome they all were.

  10. Belief Statement Differentiated instruction is the way to go when teaching! This strategy provides not just one way to teach, but also a variety of engaging lessons, many taught through technology! I believe that every child can succeed and that the use of technology can enhance that!

  11. Learning Goals My learning goal for this semester was to LEARN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! Also to leave some of my knowledge with my Cooperating Teachers and schools, but more so to learn and take in as much as I can from the educated professionals around me!

  12. Technology Not Used: I was gifted with an ipad from my chiropractor not too long ago and would love to learn more about how children can use it and what kind of apps we can download for them (that are appropriate). Also, it hooks into the smart board?! I would LOVE to learn how! More smartboard and ipad use would be good!
