Somerville Apartments

History behind the town of Somerville, a Middlesex County city located just north of Boston. Before Somerville separate itself from Charlestown, it was known as “Charlestown beyond the Neck”. This was because it was part of the Massachusetts mainland rather than the Charlestown Peninsula. Somerville is a part of Massachusetts’s 8th congressional district. This was done for the purpose of elections to the United States House of Representatives. It is represented by Republican Michael Capuano, a former mayor a Somerville. On the borders of Somerville and Cambridge, it is highly inhabited with college students and young professionals.
