  2. Subsections under 80C- Tax Benefit Investment • We have already seen various Tax Benefit Under Section 80C. It helps individuals help you reduce your taxable income. It allows the deductions available, including tax-saving investments and incurred eligible expenses. Other preferred deductions under chapter VIA are 80CCC,80D, 80E, 80G, 80DDB, and so on. Subsection 80CCC – Insurance Premium • Deduction for Premium Paid on annuity plan for life insurance • Section 80CCC provides Tax Benefit Investment to an individual for an amount invested by them in any annuity plan of LIC or any other insurer.  After the surrender of the policy, the amount received upon the annuity including interest or bonus accrued on a pension is taxable in the year of receipt.

Subsection 80 TTA – Interest on Savings Account • 80 TTA allows an Individual or a HUF to claim a deduction of maximum Rs 10,000 against interest income from the savings account with a bank, co-operative society, or post office. However, Section 80TTA deduction is not available in case of interest income received from any FD, RD, or corporate interest bonds.

  6. Subsection 80E – Interest on Education Loan • Section 80E allows an individual to claim deduction on interest on loans taken for pursuing higher education. This loan may have been chosen for the taxpayer, his/her spouse, or children or for a student for whom the taxpayer is a legal guardian.80E deduction is available for a maximum of 8 years or till the entire interest is repaid, whichever is earlier.
