It refers to the disposition exhibited by a person in relationship to guests, vendors and other people. Hospitality includes your behavior toward guests, vendors and other people in a social environment. Hospitality is not a term restricted to one field or another. The hospitality industry encompasses a wide spectrum of disciplines including event planning, restaurant management, hotels, bars and restaurants. Hospitality can be defined as the ability to make customers feel at home. Hospitality has different forms and qualities. It can be professional or interpersonal. The best suit for the hospitality industry would be the personality that best suits you and the type of guests you expect to visit. Some of the different types of people who can be classified under the heading of Hospitality are: Hotel general manager - This person is in charge of the hotel's front-desk staff and the front office. They manage all of the employees in the front office. General managers take care of the front-desk and all reservations. They are also responsible for hiring and supervising the front-desk staff. If you have a hospitality career as a general manager then you will be the first one to know about guest complaints and any problems or inconvenience that may occur with a guest. Travel agent - A travel agent is someone who facilitates travel for their customers. A travel agent may help arrange a hotel room for a customer or help them find a place to eat while on vacation. A travel agent is responsible for interacting with guests on behalf of the hoteliers. A travel agent is in charge of ensuring that the guest has a pleasant stay and that the customer experience is fully satisfied. This position entails supervising the front desk, dining service, concierge services, etc. Hospitality Managers are the ones that are in charge of customer service and keeping guest satisfaction at the top of their to-do list. Hospitality managers are in charge of interviewing guests, selecting the menu, taking orders, greeting guests, making reservations, etc. Hospitality managers may communicate directly with guests over email, phone, and social media. Tourism Manager - The tourism manager is in charge of booking reservations, customer service, travel packages, etc. In addition, they work closely with the corporate office, hospitality communications team, and public relations. The tourism manager will often collaborate with the tourism and hospitality marketing departments. A tourism manager is very involved in all aspects of the hospitality industry including travel agencies, cruise lines, and hotels.

There are many other Hospitality jobs including a Hotel General Manager, Hotel Executive, Hotel Restaurants General Manager, Hotel Cruise Lines General Manager, Hotel concierge, Hotel front desk, and Hotel housekeeping. Each of these managers will have specific duties depending on the Hospitality job board. For instance, the hotel general manager has the responsibility of attracting visitors to the hotel, keeping guest numbers up at all times, and scheduling events and parties on behalf of the hotel. They also have the responsibility of hiring, training, paying, and otherwise managing the staff. On a social media site, for instance, a Hospitality manager would be in charge of the page's content and the responses that come in. Hospitality job boards are an excellent way to find employment for Hospitality Professionals. Many hospitality chains use the Hospitality job boards as a way to post hospitality positions and to solicit employee applicants. As more hospitality job chains become aware of the social media capabilities of their website and the ability to reach out to their guest by posting the available jobs, Hospitality companies will need to take advantage of this resource as well.
