  1. Books referred by toppers to clear IAS preliminary exam The UPSC book list is considered to be the most important during the preparation of IAS. No person can say that he did not study the books related to the IAS examination during the preparation of the Civil Services Examination. IAS toppers and teachers insist on reading the best books available in the market, both online and offline. The basic concepts are the same in all books, but the application of the concept makes all the difference, so some books are considered to be the best books. So it is quite essential to select an online/offline UPSC book list for various stages of the UPSC exam. In this article, we will go through our UPSC study material List. I wrote this post keeping in mind an aspirant who is starting at level zero.   3. The UPSC syllabus is vast, and it takes at least a year to cover it comprehensively. Therefore, you cannot waste your precious time reading books below Standard or, worse, contain inaccurate and informal information. There are many books which are excellently written and contain a lot of valuable information. But you have to decide whether they are helpful for the UPSC exam or not. Therefore, great care has to be taken while choosing UPSC Book List.
