  3. In the past, it was true that preserving one's health records in physical form and producing large files required a lot of effort and time. Because of this, the government of India's ministry of health and family welfare (MOHFW) has developed a system that makes it simple for people to digitally store their healthcare papers linked to their present and previous medical histories. Users will have secure access to these electronic health records, which may be accessed whenever and anywhere they like. The Ayushman Bharat Health Account is another name for this electronic wallet (ABHA) The Indian government established the ABHA on September 27, 2021. This mission's sole objective was to give all Indian people access to digital healthcare services, assist them to create ABHA ID, and make it possible for them to access their medical records online conveniently. A 14-digit identification code called an ABHA ID allows you to share your medical records with doctors from anywhere in India. But there are many purposes and objectives of ABHA ID. Below we have listed a few. 

  4. 1 – Major Purpose of ABHA ID The ABHA ID is connected to an ABHA number, making it simpler for users to register for an ABHA address. Every person can easily maintain an organised system for their medical records using this healthcare account.  Therefore, users may effortlessly transfer their healthcare documents, such as prescriptions, test results, and more, into their ABHA E-Wallet after creating an ABHA ID. If someone wishes to share their medical information, they may do so easily by setting up an ABDM ABHA address and linking it to their ABHA number for a simple process.

  5. 2 – Who is Eligible for ABHA ID? As was previously mentioned, the ABHA is a special health ID that delivers a 14-digit identification number that can be easily obtained using an Aadhar card, a phone number, or a driver's licence. Any Indian citizen possessing any of these documents would be readily eligible to obtain an ABHA card and free access to their digital health records. All a user will need to complete the process is a smartphone or computer with an internet connection.

By storing all the medical data in one location, an ABHA digital health ID resolves all these problems. Once you create ABHA ID number, all you need to do is give it to a healthcare professional, such as a doctor or insurance. They can quickly access all your medical data by making a few clicks. Thus, it was developed to speed up critical care response.
