What is the CACFP? • The CACFP is a Federally-funded program that provides meal reimbursement for serving nutritious meals and snacks at no separate charge to eligible participants in child care centers, day care homes, Head Start programs, afterschool programs, emergency homeless shelters and adult day care centers. • The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) funds the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) to administer the CACFP Oregon not for profit organizations.

  7. Who is eligible for CACFP meals? • 12 and under in child care • 15 and younger migrants • 18 and under after school • After school programs • Emergency shelters • Functionally impaired

  8. What is Required to Participate? • Licensed, registered or DHS listed • USDA meal guidelines • Unannounced visits • Follow USDA meal patterns • Enroll children and keep records • Submit documentation monthly
