  6. Tarot cards • Game cards popularised in Europe in the late 15th century • * Magical societies in the English speaking world began to adapt the cards to their beliefs, with two popular varieties originating from Britain – that by Arthur Waite and more famously Alistair Crowley, with artwork created by Pamela Smith and Frieda Harris. They were rival members of The Order of the Golden Dawn. • * Throughout the 20th century, they became more thematic. The Psychedelic era of the 1960s was partly influenced by this and artwork of the period reflects a magic undertone. • * Tarot cards are also widely parodied or acknowledged in pop culture today.

  7. Our 4 Tarot cards • Death • Love • Lust • Greed Each Card Has a picture of its category on the front with the text of what it is, cards will be placed face down on the table. There is a QR code on the back that links to its own webpage where the paragraphs of story are added.

Each of the 4 stories will follow the structure Background - “News radio report about a prisoner with a hook escaping from jail” Tragedy / danger – scrapes found on car door after driving away in fear Resolution – Couple turn up to the parents house to find a bloody hook hanging on the door We might adapt folk tales or horror stories like “the hook” to this structure Story outline
