Did you know?... • There are 48 MH/ID/EI Administrators in PA • 69% are Women • 65% of our membership have been Administrators for five years or less! • 21 of the 48 are under two years. • The longest tenure currently is 23 Years.

PACA MH/DSMission Statement The Association will provide support and assistance to the county MH/ID Administrators and their staff in their roles as the responsible planners, program and fiscal managers, and monitors of services and supports to consumers and their families in their communities.

The Association has five active standing committees that are chaired by county administrators • Committees are comprised of Members in good standing or their designee • Most Committees meet monthly • Committee meeting dates, agendas and registration information is found on the website • Committee Chairs areappointed by the Board PACA MH/DS Committees
Mental Health Committee • Responsible for consideration, development and advocacy of legislation, regulations and policies relating to individuals with severe and chronic mental health • Promote and collaborate in the development of best practices regarding drug and alcohol treatment. Intellectual Disability Committee • Considers, develops and advocates for legislation, regulations and policies relating to community services for individuals with intellectual disabilities • At least annually there is a joint Early Intervention meeting Current Chairpersons Don Clark Allegheny County Mayme Carter Bradford/Sullivan
Support Coordination Organizations Committee Responsible for consideration, development and advocacy of legislation, regulations and policies relating to Supports Coordination operations and standards for individuals with intellectual disabilities and early intervention. Current Chairpersons Ronna Tipton Forest / Warren Joshua Bridges Lehigh County
HealthChoices Committee • Responsible for consideration, development and advocacy of legislation, regulations and policies relating to community behavioral health services provided under the behavioral health managed care entities • Entities are either county or county contracted agencies. Fiscal & Data Committee • Responsible for consideration, development and advocacy of legislation, regulations and policies relating to the fiscal and data operations of community-based services for individuals with intellectual or behavioral health disabilities • Meetings are held twice a year Current Chairpersons John DiMattio Erie County Tammy Calderone Armstrong-Indiana Counties
Regional Meetings • The Members of the association are also divided into four regions. Each region elects regional representation to the Board. • Meetings are to be held at least quarterly and include interaction with DHS regional office staff • Provide the opportunity to discuss regional specific topics with colleagues • Provide support!!

PACA MH/DS Board • The Association Officers • The Committee Chairpersons • The Regional Representatives
County Administrators Advisory Committee • Referred to as the “CAAC” • Board of the Association • Comprised of the Officers, the Committee Chairpersons and Regional Representatives • Meets Monthly with DHS State Representatives from OMHSAS, ODP and other state offices as relevant to current issues • Post CAAC Conference Call - Calls take place the last Thursday of each month from 11 a.m. - noon - the administrator or their designee they assign may participate.
PACA MH/DS Conferences • Spring and Fall conferences are held annually • Board meetings are held the Wed. afternoon before a conference. Members or their designee can attend • A Board only Retreat is held annually to set strategic initiatives for the year • Committee Reports and Strategic Plans are presented during the conferences
