Outline • This Orientation will cover: • Section 1: The Role of the Coach • Section 2: Communications • Section 3: Planning For Next Season a)Non-Technical b)Technical
Section 1: Role of Head Coach • Recruit and assign other team officials and manage their responsibilities • Responsible for parent management on your team • Be the main point of contact and source of information for team • Plan, prepare, and conduct organized practices for your team and provide a safe, fun and healthy learning environment • Managing & disciplining players. Set & maintain expectations • Pre-season/Pre-phase Meeting and Follow Ups • Conduct yourself in an ethical and sportsmanlike manner at all times
Manager • Reports to the Head Coach • Provides a positive example to the players, parents and coaches. • Duties as assigned by the Head Coach including: uniform distribution; scheduling; score reporting; and communication with players and parents • Is an integral part of the team staff
AGC • Forms non-select teams, helps recruit team officials and oversees age-group teams • Point of contact between Club and team, and communicates important information • Provides ongoing support and helps to manage issues

Section 3:Planning For Next Season: Non-Technical • Schedules U11/U12 Div1&2 (BCCSL) & 3 (in District):https://nvfc.ca/sched • Changes to team contacts for BCCSL schedule and NVFC Website • Fluid Roster Process and Guest Players at Practice: https://nvfc.ca/g-pppm • Fields:Condition, Status, Set Up, Liner & Key to sheds/goals on Fields/Maps Page under RESOURCES tab: https://nvfc.ca/fieldstat • 8 Aside Goals to be locked up after last game at grass fields; keys can be bought at Delbrook Rec Center • Confirm game details with opposition by 7pm Fridays • Report Scores to AGC for House Teams • Division Re-Alignments of Teams and/or divisions after 5 to 6 weeks

No extra turf • Uniforms, Branding, Sponsorship Rules. Key Dates • August Uniform and Equipment distribution • September U11 and up season starts • Mid September U5 to U10 season starts • Mid December Winter Break • Late February Season Ends • June Annual General Meeting
Section 3:Planning For Next Season: Technical • Playing Time Policy-minimum ½ game every game for U11/U12 • Review of On Field Session • Roles and Responsibilities of 8 aside positions on Coach Development page • Coaching Style and Philosophy • Coaching Outcome vs Intention • BCCSL League and District Discipline and Refs • Game Management: Interactions with other teams and clubs
