  4. That will be ere the set of sun.

  5. There to meet with Macbeth.

  6. LEADERS OF THE SCOTTISH ARMY ON THE BATTLEFIELD • What bloody man is that? He can report, As seemeth by his plight, of the revolt The newest state.

  7. Say to the king the knowledge of the broil As thou didst leave it.

  8. Brave Macbeth--well he deserves that name--

  9. He unseam'd him from the nave to the chaps--

  10. Dismay'd not this Our captains, Macbeth and Banquo?

  11. But I am faint, my gashes cry for help.

  12. Whence camest thou, worthy thane?

  13. and, to conclude, The victory fell on us.

  14. THANE OF CAWDOR WAS A TRAITOR! • No more that thane of Cawdor shall deceive Our bosom interest: go pronounce his present death, And with his former title greet Macbeth.
