  2. Bandwagon • Definition: An ad that persuades the audience by saying, “everyone does this.” • Example: “Everyone is rushing down to their Ford dealer!” AT&T Commercial

  3. Plain Folks People who use this product or believe this idea are just like you and me.

  5. Circular Argument • Definition- What you believe is mixed in with the proof. You believe things based on the facts.

  6. Emotional Appeal in Propaganda • Emotional appeal doesn’t use facts or logic, it just appeals to your emotions. • It makes you feel like you have to use the product to be happier, a better person, etc.

  7. Click for Example: “Fun Director” This example is “exciting” emotional appeal. (It makes you think that you’d be much happier if you went on that cruise.) This example makes you feel sad and sorry for the poor abused animals. (Makes you feel like you’d be a better person if you donated) Example: ASPCA
