  3. Project Description • The description of our Peers Project was to learn more about the ReadWell reading program. Our goal was to find resources to use with each of the 38 themed units in Read Well.

  4. Data • Data will be collected and measured throughout the year with reading assessments, Dibels scores, and proficiency tests. Hopefully, as a result of this project, reading scores of our students will improve.

  5. Team Project • There are 38 themed units in the ReadWell Reading program. The units were divided among the team. Time was spent using the Internet, classroom resources, and library to find available resources. A website was also developed for classroom teachers to use in locating information for ReadWell themes.

  6. Paulding Elementary WebSite • The ReadWell site will be housed in the Paulding Elementary School web site. The URL for this site is http://pv.noacsc.org. By clicking on the links, you will be able to find resources for each unit in the ReadWell program, in addition to information placed in the file folders. The file folder box will be housed in the Paulding Elementary Library.

  7. Stretch it out……………….. • In this picture, Jan Kohart is demonstrating one of the methods for teaching sound blending in Read Well. She is showing how a word can be “stretched out”.

  8. Shrink it up…………… • Brenda Doster demonstrates, “shrink it up”. When the student shrinks up a word he puts the stretched out sounds in the word back together again.

  14. http://pv.noacsc.org • Hopefully, each teacher using the ReadWell program will use the materials that we have prepared. The website, in addition to the box of individual themed filed folders, will provide the teachers with valuable resources to use when teaching the ReadWell program in the classroom.
