Ingredients ● 1 cup all-purpose flour or maida ● 2 large eggs ● ½ tsp baking powder ● 1 tsp vanilla extract ● 1 cup sugar powder ● ¼ cup milk ● 1 tsp butter Step-1 Begin by creaming the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. For this, you can use a whisk, fork or an electric beater. Next, in another bowl beat the eggs. Now it’s time to

  4. blend them both together well. Give it a good mix, so that the mixture turns white and creamy. Step-2 Sift the all-purpose flour/ maida with baking powder together, this is to evenly mix the baking powder in the flour. Now add this to the egg mixture and give a good mix. Add in milk by checking the consistency of the batter. Give a great mix, till the batter is fluffy and creamy. To make the cake taste delicious, blend well by adding vanilla essence. Step-3 Now it’s time for baking. Take the cake baking tin/pan and grease it well with butter, dust with flour. This is to prevent the cake from sticking to the pan. You can replace the butter with cooking spray. There is also an easy process, just line the parchment paper, so that it can be pulled off easily after cake baking. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and tap it 3-4times to let the air bubbles out. Place the pan in the oven and cook it for about 30 mins.

  5. Step-4 Don’t open the door of the oven frequently to check whether the cake is cooked or not. This will allow the cool air into the oven and effect the cake rise. After 30mins, to test the cake, insert a knife or skewer. If it comes out clean, then the cake is ready. Cool the cake on wire racks. This is to get the cake that doesn’t break down in between and comes out nice. Step-5 Once the cake is cooled enough, turn the cake upside down to remove the cake pan. So, before decorating, cut a thin slice on the top to make it even. But you need to do this step when the cake is still warm and not completely cooled. Step-6 All the process keeps the same while baking a cake except cooking the cake in the oven. Here, while cooking in the pressure cooker, preheat the cooker and place a stand inside the cooker and then the cake tin on it. This is to not touch the base of the cake pan. If you don’t have a stand, you can invert a plate and place it over it. In the pressure cooker, you will need to cook the cake for 45 mins.

  6. Step-7 How to Decorate the Cake with Whipped Cream? Put heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Whip them all together for 2-3mins. Make sure you are not overdoing it. Because it may result in grainy and curdled. The hunt for perfect whipping cream is you have peaks when a spoon in it is lifted up. Once done, transfer it into a cone to decorate the cake.
