  3. SUBLIMATION PROPERTY OF CAMPHOR Sublimation property of camphor is that it directly changes from it’s solid state to gaseous state without changing into liquid state. Some other substances which undergo sublimation are naphthalene, dry ice, etc.

  4. VARIOUS USES OF CAMPHOR Grandma, you just now lighted some camphor to offer prayers. Do you know that due to it’s special properties, it is used for various purposes. Some other uses of camphor are:-- 1.Camphor is used as a plasticizer, as a moth repellent, as an antimicrobial substance. 2.It is also used in embalming, and in fireworks.

  5. 3. Solid camphor releases fumes that form a rust-preventive coating and is therefore used used to protect tools against rust. 4.It is used as an insect repellent. Sometimes it is used to prevent damage to insect collecti- ons from other small insects. 5. It is used as anti-itch gels and cooling gels. 6. It is used to treat sprains, swellings and inflammation. 7. Earlier it was used as a ingredient in sweets 8.It is widely used for cooking , mainly for dessert dishes, in India.
