Dee Young, Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler • Done with a Smile! • Administrative Nominee, Nominated by Meredith Stevens Iannarelli, Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler • Her attitude is infectious…(7) staff and (850+) volunteers happily pitch in more time to complete tasks and assignments. • Amazed at her “systems”…organize all tasks, appointments and meetings she is inundated with on a weekly basis, while cheerleading her staff and volunteers to work in a caring manner [for those in care].

  12. Dr. Laura Curry, Euclid Learning Center • Quick as a cat! Done with a smile! Three steps ahead! Clean as a whistle! Motivational! Caring! • Direct Services Nominee, Nominated by Laura Butler, Volusia County Schools • Thinks outside the box….positive and uplifting and makes us all believe we are better than we ever thought we would be! • [Sometimes} there is twice the work for her, but students excel because of her creativity, techniques and teaching style.

  13. Linda Froman, Volusia County Schools, PLUS Program • Quick as a cat! Done with a smile! Three steps ahead! Clean as a whistle! Above and beyond! Flexible – she’s GUMBY! • Direct Services Nominees, Nominated by Sandy Evans, Volusia County Schools • Handles all the drug and alcohol referrals which may be overwhelming feat for most, but she is able to see all the students without ever complaining…students love her and want to be in her group.

  14. Linda Miller, Head Start – Mid Florida Community Services, Inc. • Done with a Smile! Three Steps Ahead! • Direct Services Nominee, Nominated by Bonnie Trammell, Goodwill Job Service • Always involved 100%...When she gives her word, you can count on it. • Could all learn from her grace. It’s small personable acts that get the job done and generate results.

  15. Julie Robertson, Serenity House • Quick as a cat! Done with a smile! • Direct Services Nominee, Nominated by Fred McMahan and John Carey, Serenity House • Constantly on the go…always has time to answer questions, advise, never too busy, responds with a smile, undoubtedly one of the most efficient people ever worked with…[managing] staff, clients, families and county programs is a grinding difficult task she does quickly & efficiently.!

  16. Training Initiatives, Inc., (Team of 7) • Quick as a cat! Done with a smile! Three steps ahead! Creative! Lots of fun! • Direct Services Nominee, Nominated by Jeanne Rademader, Center for Business Excellence • They are creative and upbeat! • In September, presented 190 workshops and assisted over 2,500 customers…thrive under pressure and work as a great team. Look Look up “teamwork” in the dictionary and you will see their picture!

  17. Dr. Lex Baer, Presbyterian Counseling Center • Done with a smile! Three steps ahead! We can do anything we want to do if we stick to it long enough! • Leadership Nominee, Nominated by Tammy Kroll, Patricia Blakeslee, LMFT, Bunnie Graham, Ph.D., ATR-BC, Ann Grell • New era for Center…unique blend of administrative skills, spiritual leadership, gifted psychotherapist…vision met needs of growing community…works tirelessly… long range planning, efficient…allows for human error, is generous to celebrate personal achievements in others.

  18. Kim Cudebec, Serenity House • Done with a smile! • Leadership Nominee, Nominated by Tara Cummings, Serenity House • Always puts clients ahead of all else. Appears calm and collected despite large amounts of conflicts that arise. His presence makes everyone email and able to brighten anyone’s mood with his charm and wit.

  19. Nancy DeStefano, Daytona State College, Women’s Center • Done with a smile! Three steps ahead! Clean as a whistle! • Leadership Nominee, Nominated by Becky Nero-Wall, Daytona State College • Able to run the New Directions program so well you hardly know she’s there…took the reins for a floundering grant funded program and turned it around….so well respected, currently wearing the “hat” for a brand new grant “Men’s Fresh Start” in addition to her current job.

  20. Karen Horzepa, The Children’s Advocacy Center • Quick as a cat! Done with a smile! Three steps ahead! Clean as a whistle! Handles the workload of 10! Provides superior support to staff! • Leadership Nominee, Nominated by Pamela Hobbs, The Children’s Advocacy Center • She is the epitome of efficient! Has worked with “no funding for that” for so many years, it doesn’t faze her anymore… years in social services illustrate dedication to success of employees and clients… is completely selfless.

Dixie Morgese, Healthy Start Coalition of Flagler/Volusia • Three steps ahead! • Leadership Nominee, Nominated by Carrie Baird, One Voice for Volusia • Only thing that surpasses her skill, expertise and leadership is her passion and energy…takes on a cause with total passion, not because it’s easy or lucrative but because it’s the right thing to do…has incredible vision AND skills and knowledge.

Next, you must establish good rapport with all staff.  This takes good training of staff and also support of staff.  The most important thing is to stay organized and prepare a schedule.

Meeting Announcements • Ground Rules • Re-introduce yourself and the name of your agency before your announcement (helpful to those taking notes or who want to connect with you during the Networking Time) • Keep your announcements brief (no longer than 30 seconds per announcement) and refer to handouts placed at the Network Zone for details (i.e. dates/times, contact information, phone #’s). • Do not distribute handouts during the meeting. Place all handouts at the Network Zone prior to the start of the meeting.
