Richard Michael Wilcox was born on October 3, 1985. He quickly became “Ricky” to his family.
School Days Ricky began school at Our Lady of Victories School in Landisville where he attended Kindergarten, First, and Second Grades.
Buena Regional School Days He attended the William B. Donini Elementary School in third grade.
Play Ball! Ricky played baseball on several teams in the Buena Little League.
Ready to Wrestle? Ricky began his wrestling career at the age of six. His love of the sport grew throughout his life. His first win is shown here! He became a well respected member of the Southern New Jersey Wrestling community.
Buena Braves Wrestling Ricky proudly began wearing the Blue and Gold. He is pictured here with his coach in mini wrestling, Brett Aretz.
Moving on in school Ricky went on to attend the John C. Milanesi Elementary School for the 4th and 5th grades.
Buena Braves Football Ricky played football for the Buena Braves. His number, 21, has been retired.
Time for Middle School Ricky attended the Dr. J.P. Cleary Middle School.
BUENA CHIEFS Some of Ricky’s proudest moments, both in the classroom and on the wrestling mat, were made at Buena Regional High School.

Summer fun as a Lifeguard Ricky was a lifeguard at the Brunini Terrace Swim Club and the Buena Vista Camping World.
College Dreams Ricky planned to attend West Virginia University and hoped to become a member of their wrestling team.
Ricky was taken from us in a horrible car crash just one day before he was to graduate from Buena Regional High School.
Ricky is remembered each year at the annual Run4Ricky. The first Run4Ricky was held on August 16, 2004, just two months after his tragic death.

On June 14, 2004, a beloved son, brother, student, athlete, and friend was lost. Although gone from this world, Ricky’s spirit lives on in those who loved him. His legacy lives on as the Wilcox Family continues to fuel the dreams of future Buena Regional High School graduates with scholarships provided by the funds raised at the annual Run4Ricky.
