Aid us in keeping this foremost in all that we do.
Corporate Prayer In so doing, Lord we want to honor you by holding to high standardsby being exemplary Salvationists and continue to give our “utmost for the Highest.”

Teach and fully equip us to use these gifts for each opportunity in front of us so that we may worshipyou in spirit and in truth as our Sovereign Lord.

Thank you for affirming and equipping us for your service. We offer this our prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
TRUE OR FALSE? The closer we come to God, the closer we come to each other.
“Today the heart of God is an open wound of love. He aches over our distance and preoccupation. He mourns that we do not draw nearto Him. He grieves that we have forgotten Him. He weeps over our obsession with muchness and manyness. He longs for our presence.” Richard Foster, Finding the Heart’s True Home

“Let usdraw near to Godwith a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let ushold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

3. Good repertoire selection involves honing down a program to a measured proportion.
4. Good repertoire selection is about educating players and congregation.
Where are we now (and where have we been) with our current programming? • Which pieces do we know well, but should give up? • What pieces should we continue with? • What new items will enhance our program? • What genre or styles have we avoided?
What is the program missing? • An opener? • A great closing sequence? • A solo item? • A devotional invitation item? • What encore? • What congregational involvement? • Humor – when and what?
Four Test Questionsby Nancy Beach from An Hour On Sunday • Does this piece move us? • Is it theologically sound and biblically true? • Does it have artistic integrity? • Is it tasteful?
