American Dream • The American Dream by  Amy H., WichitaIt is the American DreamWhat we all strive for and imagineIndouble-wide trailers to double-wide mansionsIn sprouting lakes of fake fish.Nothing captures its essenceUnbound by time or dust or rotThe thingswe cherish still are lovingly pattedAnd brought through thecenturies.It is more than a dream nowIt's a reality that the millionshave madeOur heart and soul builds the heaven on earth.A refuge for thesick,And a shelter for the needy,It is everything we desire.Inthe cherry trucks and laughing childrenTo indolent teenagers with smokecirclingWe see our dream and the actualityIt may not be perfect, but itis our heavenAnd so disillusioned we conjure forth our hope.In thepicket fences we see our childhoodIn the sky we see our adulthoodAnd inthe middle we see our life.Suspended, but not contained,It is the dreamthat wakes within us all.  • The American dream is all about fulfilling your dreams that you have as an American citizen. • Everyone has an American Dream. • In order to Achieve your dream, you have to take the actions necessary in order to make it a reality.

  4. Accountability of leaders • Every leader is accountable for the actions of the people they are guiding. • A leader guides a group into conforming so everyone is aware of what is going on. • A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus.Martin Luther King, Jr.

  5. Courage • It takes a lot of courage to stand up for what is right. • It also takes a lot of courage in order to face a fear.
