To gain access into the COMIRB Database you will need the following: • A current and active POI Number. • Unsure what a POI Number is and how to obtain yours, view training Video – http://connect.ucdenver.edu/accesstraining • A current and active UC Denver email account with Login access. • Unsure how to get your UC Denver email account, view training video – http://connect.ucdenver.edu/laccesstraining • - http://connect.ucdenver.edu/loginandprofiletraining • At this point you can use any internet browser to access the COMIRB Database: https://era.cu.edu • You can view the training video on how to search for your protocols - http://connect.ucdenver.edu/lsearchprotocls

Delegating Access: • Delegating Access • The PI can delegate access into their protocols to allow edit, creating, and look up capability. • NOTE: This DOES NOT delegate responsibility, the PI is still responsible for all actions on their assigned protocols. • Once you are logged into your account in the COMIRB Database you can select “My Profile” • Then select “Edit”. • Note: Delegating can give your Administrators access to view your protocols

Delegating Access Cont: • Delegating Access • Once you have selected the Edit tab you can now select “Delegates” • This will allow you to search for the individual you wish to have access to your protocol. • You will notice that you can see who is listed as a delegate and who has you as a delegate. • Note: Delegating an individual does not limit their access to an specific protocol, it give access to your research. • They will be able to see all protocols and studies your are on. • So be sure that you want the delegate to have full access before selecting them as a delegate. • NOTE: This DOES NOT delegate responsibility, the PI is still responsible for all actions on their assigned protocols.
