Introduction • SID is an online collection of safety information notices from around the world issued by parachute manufacturers, parachute associations and government authorities • The main objective is to provide riggers and reserve packers with an easy and quick method to ensure the equipment they work on is free from known safety problems • It can also be used by skydivers and drop zones to back up and support riggers with another line of defence • SID also comes with a riggers study guide to prevent the same or similar incidents from being repeated SID has been designed for the passage of all types of safety information. An advisory notice, a mandatory safety notice or simply to update a packing manual SID Pres (Rev05 12/2010)

How can SID help: • Prevents relying on memory and missing a vital safety notice • One source - The fastest and most reliable system available • Easy to use and it’s always up to date • No more paper trail – the same data fills a qty of 4, A4 ring binders stacking 10 inches in height • Totally unbiased international system • No borders, no rules to prevent or delay the passage of information SID Pres (Rev05 12/2010)

Registration • To access the SID you will need to register on line at www.skydive-safety.com • There are six registration options: • The Free and Skydiver Registrations are for individuals to do a quick and simple search for their personal equipment • The Business and Rigger Registrations are for those who wish to search for customer’s equipment • The Manufacturer and Association Registrations are for those who need to update their published safety information so it can be instantly available to skydivers, instructors and riggers The website has a table to quickly show the benefits of each registration so you can choose the right one for you.   9. Add Equipment • Choose a unique name for your equipment profile SID Pres (Rev05 12/2010) • Complete the form to set up your equipment profile

  10. Edit Equipment Profile Vector – Sky Science Voodoo – Skydive Safety • Select the equipment that you want to open for editing SID Pres (Rev05 12/2010)

  12. Lost or Stolen • Select the item that has been lost or stolen to record it • If another person tries to add the same equipment then it will flag up as lost or stolen and generate an e-mail to be sent to the owner SID Pres (Rev05 12/2010)
