Alexander Funicello-Successful Pulmonologist

From the time Alexander Funicello could talk he wanted to be a doctor. He told his parents, his teachers and his friends of his dream of saving lives. He pretended to be a doctor whenever it was playtime. But it was losing a close relative at young age to lung cancer that set his sights on pulmonology. He worked tirelessly to achieve his dream, and it paid off. Alexander Funicello opened his own pulmonology practice 15 years ago.

  1. Alexander Funicello Successful Pulmonologist Alexander Funicello dreamed of being a doctor since he was a child, and was further inspired after losing a relative to lung cancer. Alexander worked hard during grade school and undergraduate school to get good grades so he could get into this top medical school, Baylor School of Medicine. After graduating with honors from med school, Alex worked in various hospitals learning as much as he could about the lungs.

  2. Alexander Funicello Talks Love At First Sight Alexander Funicello recounts the story of how he and his wife met for the first time. They were both in med school at the Baylor School of Medicine when he saw her across a crowded lecture room. He tried to get a seat closer to this beautiful woman but they were all taken. He waited for her after class, but couldn’t find her in the sea of students. It wasn’t until weeks later, in a study group that they met for the first time. Alexander Funicello and his wife have been inseparable ever since.

  3. Alexander Funicello Avid Outdoorsman Alexander Funicello is more than just a successful doctor and loving husband. He also enjoys many outdoor sports and activities and believes staying active is an important part to a healthy life. There are so many opportunities to be outside in his home state of California. Alexander Funicello spends his spare time golfing, wind surfing, skiing. He plans on retiring in the near future so he can have even more time doing what he loves.

  4. Alexander Funicello Full Speed Ahead Alexander Funicello, a pulmonologist from Fresno, California likes to build things with his hands. He feels proud every time he can construct something from start to finish. He has taken up a hobby of creating model homes, cars and planes as well as building intricate train sets. His basement now features a track that circles the entire room twice. Alexander Funicello has been a fan of trains and models since he was young.
