  3. Mission statement • Prepared By: the whole class & President • Contains: • Mission statement • Company goals • Will make up section 2 of your business plan • President may add to this when he does up the Executive Summary

  4. Executive team • Prepared By: VP of Human Resources • Contains: • A list of ALL of the members of your company’s Executive Team • May also contain: • Title in the company and/or a description of each person’s strengths they bring to the company.

  5. The Product • Prepared By: VP of Production • Contains: • A detailed description of your product including: • Product specifications • Key features • Comparisons to similar products • Packaging required • Benefits

  6. Marketing & sales • Prepared by: VP of Marketing • Contains: • Description of target market • Description of competition • Sales strategy • Pricing • Advertising & promotion

  7. Production • Prepared by: VP of Production • Contains: • A detailed description of how your product is produced and/or delivered • Should include details that address: • Time • Packaging • Labeling • Quality assurance

  8. Human resources • Prepared By: VP of Human Resources • Contains: • Details of other members of your company and their functions • Should include details such as: • Skills needed by group members • Wages • Commissions • Training • How you would deal with the loss of members if it occurs

  9. Information technology • Prepared By: VP of Information Technology • Contains: • Details on: • Use of a website • Use of email • Use of a Facebook page • Use of spreadsheets to organize company data

  11. General tips • Keep it simple • Be concise. Only include information that will enhance the reader’s understanding. • Proofread! Proofread!! Proofread!!! • Make the Business Plan look professional (i.e. formatting, use of logo, use of color, binding, font, etc.)

  12. Risks & conclusion • Prepared By: The President • Contains: • Information about some of the risks the company may face and how you would plan to minimize the risk • A conclusion that is clear and concise leaving a positive impression while restating company goals and objectives.
