Presenter Names:  Nelson Coulter, Superintendent, Guthrie CSD Summer Reel, On-Line Spanish Teacher, Guthrie CSD Cathy Morton, Virtual Learning Consultant Robbie Riggs, K-12 Field Territory Manager, Rosetta Stone Presenter Affiliation:  Guthrie Common School District and Rosetta Stone Session Description (50-words):  In order to fill an increasing need, Rosetta Stone and Guthrie Common School District (GCSD) formed a partnership to deliver online Spanish courses in the Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN). Using the Rosetta Stone software as the platform, teacher Summer Reel of GCSD developed highly interactive and rigorous courses that meet all the TEKS, and provide students with a meaningful and effective experience in their pursuit of really learning Spanish. Session attendees will get an overview of the courses as well as information for enrolling students.
