  2. Your Bill • Anesthesia done – pay me $880. What Your Payor Expects • CPT of primary procedure – no charge • CPT of Anesthesia done with appropriate modifier (e.g., AA, AD, QX) • Number of base units for anesthesia CPT • Number of anesthesia minutes of service and number of time units calculated from minutes • Divide $880 by total of base units • Put in price, extend out so bill is $880

My Proposal • Each Service pick one base to work one-on-one with Lt Col Yoder • Have base contact me when anesthesia has a denial/payment (after co-pay and deductible of less than $200) • I’ll need copy of bill (with PHI removed) • I’ll need copy of operative report and anesthesia report (with PHI removed) • Name of payor and telephone number so I can find out if they want minutes of service, and if they use 15 minute blocks…
