  3. fire hazard • Cambridge castle was burnt down in 1174.if you think they learned from that ,you were wrong . The castle was still made of wood and still had thatched roofs . You guessed it , Cambridge Castle burnt down again in1385. The castle was rebuilt in stone.

  5. Attack • Cambridge Castle was attacked many times. The route to England the castle protected was important to merchants. If the residents of Cambridgeshire started to charge taxes, they would soon be rich.
