Calls for proposals/1 • Since 2008, 38 calls for proposals have been launched out of which 34 are closed ! • As a result 621 projects were selected and 503 Million EUR of ENPI funds (81%) were awarded from 615.21 Million EUR allocated • Huge demand compared to the available funds, as over 6000 applications were submitted requesting 3 times the available funding for ENPI CBC

  4. Where are the Beneficiaries from? 121 Beneficiaries from Non EU MS - 23% of the total (from 0 % to 47% but this is also due to the number of Non EU MS involved in a given programme) However, 1023 organizations from MS and 957 organizations from PC participate in joint projects!

Common barriers –Partner Countries involvement • Language barriers • Problems of finding and working with partners • Difficulties in providing co-financing • Insufficient experience/understanding of the new partnership approach/rules • Lack of experience in preparing project proposals and implementing projects (and a lack of confidence) • Insufficient human and financial resources for preparing project proposals • National legislation and procedures and compatibility with ENPI CBC programme rules • Complexity of ENPI CBC application process and the amount and type of administrative documentation required • http://www.rcbi.info/pages/103_1.html
