  2. Versace is an Italian fashion company founded by Gianni Versace in 1978. Today, it is one of the world’s leading fashion houses.

  3. Gianni Versace was born on December 2, 1946 in Reggio de Calabria, Italy. In 1972, he moved to Milan and began designing for top Italian labels. He said the classical past influenced his designs.

  4. Versace launched his own women's collection in 1978. Versace’s work won him several awards including the American Fashion Oscar in 1993. In just 10 years, he created an empire worth over $807 million. On July 15, 1997, the 50 year old designer was found dead in his house in Miami, Florida. Eight days after he was murdered, Andrew Cunanan, who was the prime suspect & a spree killer was found dead as well.

  6. To modify this design for greater appeal, first I would make the top less dramatic. I would put make the straps more simple & add more material to the midsection to make a more modern little black dress.
