  2. Congratulations! You are selected for study exchange with one of our European partner unversities What to do before you leave? Maar wat nu?

  3. Two things 1. Application with partner university 2. Application for a grant • Individual Travel Grant (ITG) • Radboudwide partners (coordinator Rob van Leeuwen): Holland Scholarship

Application Partner University • International Office (Arts) sendsnominationtopartneruniversity (you in cc) • Youcan start searchingfor information on the website of the partner university • Partner universitysendsyou information aboutapplication, housing & orientation. • Collect requesteddocuments, apply YOURSELF • Semester 1: now Semester 2: now or from september • Transcript, stamped (STIP), passport, medicalrequirements YOU applyyourself at the partner university (host universityaccepts!) • Afterthenomination email. • Don’t miss application deadlines. • Check the partner university website forexchange studentsfor: application procedure deadlines documents housing orientation

  5. No reply? Be pro-active Email or even better: CALL! Still no answer? • Check if fellow students that go to the same partner university already had contact • Ask the coordinator of the agreement • Forward the emails you have sent to the partner university to internationaloffice@let.ru.nl: Kim Oyen will contact the university.

  6. Application at partner university : what to expect? • Collect documents: • Transcript of records: grade overview, signed and stamped by STIP. • Learning Agreement, signed by you and the departmental coordinator of your study programme. • [Optional] Proof of English: nomination letter/statement (please request this via internationaloffice@let.ru.nl if you’re going to a faculty partner university), OOPT, something else? • … • Make arrangements/apply for: • Housing • Orientation • Insurance • Special needs during your study abroad (exams), if applicable

  11. Individual Travel Grant • Applyyourselffor a ITG (finish at least 2 weeks beforedeparture) – youwillreceivean email withinstructionsfromstudentexchange@io.ru.nl. Whichdocuments do youneed? • ISEP/Freemoversonly: Webform on ITG website • A self-written statement of why this project is relevant (around 1 page) • A budget of the expected costs (use the standard template on the ITG website). • A letter from the International Office including the following points: • The exact dates of your project • The amount of credits • The relevance of the project • A Learning Agreementsignedbyyour study abroad coordinator!

Holland Scholarship • Ifyou are goingto a specificRadboud partner universities (check the list on the Radboud Holland Scholarshipwebsite) • Central International Office (Mr. Rob van Leeuwen) will contact you • Special session in the Radboud Beyond Borders week (15-18 April). Youwillreceive more information aboutthissession in March. • Hand in alldocuments at thesame time (at least 2 weeks beforedeparture) • Grant Agreement • LearningAgreement • A Learning Agreementsignedbyyour study abroad coordinator!

Don’t forget • Sublet your room – one-off bonus of €350 (Housing– Central IO) • Visa • Ticket • Insurance • Vaccinations • Registration buitenlandminor / study abroad minor during the registration period in June/July. • Change your (DUO) study grant to living on your own scholarship (if you still have a Dutch “Studiebeurs” issued by DUO).

Radboud Beyond Borders: 15 - 18 April, 2019 Matching by International Office Arts Central International Office organizes sessions about: • Student Visa Application U.S. • Advice, vaccination and support before, during and after your travel • Funding and budgetting your stay abroad • Going Abroad and Insurance  The programme will be available next week. We will communicate this via our website and you will be able to find it on the website of the Central International Office.

  15. Upon return ITG Grant • Within 8 weeks after finishing your study abroad period • A copy of your flight ticket(s) to and from the destination, and/or any other proof of transportation; • A digital photo of you at your placement; • A report of your experiences (1 A4); • A balance sheet with the actual costs (use format on ITG website) Holland Scholarship • Statement Form • Transcript of Records International Office Arts • Report about your study abroad experiences (you will receive a format) • Grade Conversion
