  1. Four Little Things Proverbs 30:24-28

  2. Proverbs 30:24-28 There are four things which are little on the earth, But they are exceedingly wise: 25 The ants are a people not strong, Yet they prepare their food in the summer; 26 The rock badgers are a feeble folk, Yet they make their homes in the crags; 27 The locusts have no king, Yet they all advance in ranks; 28 The spider skillfully grasps with its hands, And it is in kings' palaces.

  3. “The ants are a people not strong, Yet they prepare their food in the summer”

  4. Like the ant,we must redeem our time Proverbs 6:6-8 Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, 7 Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, 8 Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest.

  5. Like the ant,we must not grow weary Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. John 9:4 (Jesus as Example) I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.

  6. “The rock badgers are a feeble folk, Yet they make their homes in the crags”

  7. Like the rock badger, we must look to God for protection Psalm 18:30-31 As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. 31 For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?

  8. Like the rock badger, we must trust in God rather than self 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

  9. The locusts have no king, Yet they all advance in ranks.

  10. Like the locusts, we must recognize the power of unity Joel 2:7-8 They run like mighty men, They climb the wall like men of war; Every one marches in formation, And they do not break ranks. 8 They do not push one another; Every one marches in his own column. Though they lunge between the weapons, They are not cut down.

  11. Like the locusts, we must recognize the power of unity Romans 15:5-6 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  12. Like the locusts, we must recognize the power of unity John 17:20-21 I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

  13. “The spider skillfully grasps with its hands, And it is in kings' palaces.”

  14. Like the spider, we must be bold to face life’s challenges Hebrews 10:19-22 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

  15. Like the spider, we must be bold in preaching the precious gospel Acts 4:13, 31 (13), Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. (31), And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

  16. Conclusion These small animals show us the wise advantages of work, of divine protection, of unity and of boldness. Now it is up to us to put these qualities into our lives and live wisely.
