Universal Symbols • Symbols that show locations for travelers and non-English speaking persons. • Why do you think we recognize advertising symbols and not Universal Symbols? • Media: What we see on television, the world wide web, magazines, and posters. • All designed to persuade us to buy something!

Because we must master persuasive writing, we first must understand what attracts our attention and persuades us to remember something. When we ask questions about what we see and hear, we separate fact from opinion and become more informed. Become a Critical Thinker!
