  3. Banded Sea Snake These snakes are found in every ocean except for the Atlantic ocean. • They are smooth-scaled and have a pale shade of blue with black bands hints there name the banded snake.

  4. Characteristics • They are most active at night, swimming close to the shore and at times they swim into tide pools. Its venom is a very strong neurotoxin and its victims are usually fishermen who untangle fishnets that the snake might get caught in.

  5. Length • The average length of a banded sea snake is about 75 centimeters, the maximum is 1.2 meters long.
