Knowledge-Creation & Sharing • Regional level researches to fill knowledge gaps • Regional-level knowledge sharing and capacity building on key Labour issues • Continue dialogue on the relationship between working conditions, productivity and competitiveness • Holding periodic thematic consultations in South Asia – to review challenges and progress

  4. Institutional Mechanisms • Establishment of • Tripartite SAARC labour forum • Labour information exchange center • regional body to coordinate and promote dialogue, research, policy and sharing of best practices • Establishment of working groups for follow-up and implementation of the recommendations

  5. Advocacy • Evidence-based advocacy on best labour practices in South-Asia • Call on bilateral and multilateral partners to support Regional efforts for harmonization of labour issues

  6. Collaboration • To explore collaborations with key regional bodies to move forward on the recommendations • SAARC Development Fund • SAIEVAC; • SAARCLAW; • SAARC statistics group; • SAARC gender information base (VAW, health and feminizations of poverty) • SAARC gender policy advocacy • SAARC chambers of commerce • HOMENET South Asia/ South East Asia • SA alliance for poverty alleviation
