SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION SEARCH ENGINE AND BASICS: Search engine refers to a huge data base of internet resources such as web pages, newsgroups, programs, images etc. It helps to locate information on World Wide Web. User can search for any information by passing query in form of keywords or phrase. There are search engine such as google, yahoo, bingetc HOW SEARCH ENGINE WORKS ? STEPS: CRAWLING: searching or scrawling your website or webpage. INDEXING: storing your website or webpage to search engine database centre. RANKING: it is based on the quality of website & it is shown on webpage.
Types of SEO • Black hat SEO Black hat SEO techniques are villains — tactics that may get a site higher SERP rankings, but are unethical and violate search engine guidelines. • White hat SEO White hat SEO techniques are heroes — tactics that work within search engines' terms of service to improve a site's search engine results page (SERP) rankings.
WEBSITE • A website is a collection of linked web pages (plus their associated resources) that share a unique domain name. Each web page of a given website provides explicit links most of the time in the form of clickable portions of text that allow the user to move from one page of the website to another.
KEYWORDS • Keywords are the words and phrases that people type into search engines to find what they're looking for. For example, if you were looking to buy a new jacket, you might type something like “mens leather jacket” into Google. Even though that phrase consists of more than one word, it's still a keyword.
TYPES OF KEYWORDS • GENERIC KEYWORD: It is use for brand name or genera keyword. • SHORT TAIL KEYWORD: This keyword are those phase withonly 1 or 2 words . • LONG TAIL KEYWORD: They are longer and specific keyword phrases consisting more than 3 words. Much easier to rank. • SEASONAL KEYWORD: They are keyword that generate most of there search traffic during a specific time of the year.

META TAG OPTIMIZATION • Meta tags are a form of metadata that describes the content of a web page to search engines within its source code. Important meta tags for ecommerce websites include the meta title and meta description, which are both visible on Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) and impact organic rankings.
TITLE TAG The title tag is just one of many on-page elements we focus on when optimizing pages and content. Optimizing it alone won't likely lead to many ranking changes. However, using it in context with other on-page elements can build important context and subject-matter relevance for a page, sections, and sites overall.

Essentially it provides a brief description to the visitor about your webpage and sets their potential. Place your Meta Description Tag directly below the TITLE tag
KEYWORD PROXIMITY The keyword proximity refers to the distance between the search term's individual keywords. PRIMARY KEYWORD should not have proximity. For SECONDARY KEYWORD there is limit of 8-10 words.
IMAGE OPTIMIZATION Image optimization is about reducing the file size of your images as much as possible without sacrificing quality so that your page load times remain low. It's also about image SEO. That is, getting your product images and decorative images to rank on Google and other image search engines.
CONTENT OPTIMIZATION Content optimization is the process of making sure content is written in a way that it can reach the largest possible target audience. The process of optimizing content should include making sure associated keywords are present, adding meta and title tags, and relevant links.
PAGE AUTHORITY (PA) DOMAIN AUTHORITY (DA) Domain Authority and Page Authority (DA/PA) are indicators developed by MOZ, a very respectable and reputable digital company, which predicts how well a page will rank in search engine results. The score for DA/PA is calculated algorithmically on a scale from 1 to 100.

301/302 ERROR REDIRECTION A 301 signals a permanent redirect from one URL to another, meaning all users that request an old URL will be automatically sent to a new URL. A 301 redirect passes all ranking power from the old URL to the new URL, and is most commonly used when a page has been permanently moved or removed from a website. While a 302 is a little vague, a 307 states precisely that the requested URL has been moved to a temporary location and will be back in a while
