LSSC Overview • High school diploma or a GED • One year library experience, paid or unpaid • Cost $350 ($325 if ALA member) • 4 years to finish
LSCC Overview • Complete 6 of 10 competency sets • 3 required, 3 elective • Can complete approved courses or portfolios in any combination • Fee for courses; no fee for portfolios

LTA Agreement Program 1. LTA graduates receive the LSSC w/o more course work or submitting portfolios. 2. Colleges must cover at least two “required” and three “electives” 3. If partial agreement: complete portfolio or a college course, as specified in the agreement or a LSSC approved course 4. Pay enrollment fee
