  3. Romans 3:23 We Fall Short For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

  4. Romans 6:23 We Earn Death • For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  5. James 2:10 We Have Failed For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.

  6. John 3:16-18 We Are Loved • “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God."

Romans 3:21-25a Christ Was Our Substitute • But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith.
