  2. Summary/ Back of book • In the book umbrella summer a young girl name named Annie is scared of everything. Ever sense her brother Jared died instantly from a hockey puck hitting him and giving him a rare injury that no one would even think about. Even the littlest things Annie is cautious about. She keeps reading books about sicknesses and stuff like that until one day her new neighbor moves in across the street. Her and her friend spy on the old lady that moved in and that didn’t turn out good in the beginning for them but then it turns out to be an amazing thing. Annie and her friend met the lady and became almost like her children. One day Annie and her friend got in a big fight and the lady helped them work it out. How will Her neighbor help Annie with her fears and saddness or will her fears ever be faced. Find out in the book umbrella summer.

  3. Author • Lisa Graff has loved writing since she was little. One day she didn’t have anything to do so someone told her just to go write a book. She ended up writing 5 pages that day and that’s where it all started, and so on. Lisa wrote for fun while she was growing up. She went through college and got a writing degree at UCLA. Lisa mostly likes writing children's books when she writes.
