Vision The energy system in the Arab region are characterized by a significant share of renewable resources and a highly efficient use of energy. Mission Initiate regional policy dialogues and promote strategies and partner-ships favourable to RE / EE investments in the member states of the Arab Region. Strategic Objectives - Policy:enhancement through regional dialogue - Facts:reliability through consistent methodologies - Institutions:effectiveness through regional cooperation - People:capacities through regional learning - International Funding:accessibility through inter-regional exchange.
Intervention Model • Strategic Objective 1: Facts & Figures • 1. Establish RE/EE data tracking systems at the regional level, e.g.: • EE indicators(With Plan Blu) • Energy End-Use Tariffs & Grid Parity Maps (With TU Berlin and AREPO) • RE/EE investment Tracking in Member States (an Impact Indicator) • AREED and AREEB (With LAS) • 2. Provide data presentation tools to facilitate national diagnostic and regional benchmarking, e.g. • RE Progress Index, EE Progress Index • Sectoral levels (Energy Performance in Buildings) The energy systems in the Arab region are characterized by a significant share of renewable resources and a highly efficient use of energy.
