  2. About Indian Highways Indian highways are no safer than the city roads. Apart from the strict implementation of traffic laws, better infrastructure and road designing are needed to improve highway safety standards in the country.

  3. Facts On Indian Highways The deadliest spots on highways have the dubious distinction of being called ‘Black Spots’. The ignominious title is earned by a location that has more than ten deaths taking place on it each year. The bad news is, there are 726 such black spots exist on Indian highways.

  4. Dangerous Spots on Highways Roughly 50,000 people die on India’s national highways each year while another 40,000 or so lose their life on various state highways. The Top Black Spots on Indian Highway • National Highway 2 between Delhi and Kolkata • National Highway 8 between Delhi and Mumbai

Education on Road Safety IRTE is not only focused on enhancing safety for our children while using the roads, but also helping in setting up a culture of road usage through our younger generation. In the last four years, over 1600 teachers from over 500 schools from all over the country have been trained by the experienced faculty of IRTE.
