Seume Brianna Phernetton and BreKrohn
Background Information • People are interested in studying phages because they destroy bacteria which could help in medical fields to find things like anti-biotics. • Our goal was to discover new phages to aid in the search of phages that can get rid of harmful bacterica.
Seume • Seume is my high school science teacher’s name. He would be honored and interested in these studies.
Background Information • BreKrohn’s garden in Somerset, Wisconsin • Soil was taken from this place because plants were having a difficult time growing. • Wanted to see if the soil was the problem
Morphology • About 1 cm in diameter • A very faint halo around each phage Shown as background picture: 10^3 plate from titration 2, also on slides 1,2,3,5,9,10
Titer of HTL 1.5 x 1010

Electron Microscope Head Size: 34.17nm Tail size: 100 nm
Similarities • Our phage is very similar to Sam and Temi’s. This is probable, as they are from the same source. • They are also similar to Klycomp and Katherine.
Interesting About Ours We are interested to see what comes from the garden that grows the food Bre eats. If ours were to be sent for sequencing I know the man it was named after would be honored.
