  2. The purpose of this video is to share that truth about Righteousness To enter the LORD’s Kingdom we will need to be righteous in God’s eyes. God defined HIS standard of righteousness through the WORDS OF JESUS, our LORD

  3. “Righteousness” means: to be right in God’s eye It also defines the judgment of the Living God

  4. “Righteousness” the condition acceptable to God a) the way in which man may attain a state approved of God b) integrity, virtue, purity of life, correctness of thinking feeling, and acting 2) justice or the virtue which gives each his due

  5. Acting in Faith is how we become righteous before God This means so much more than saying we believe Jesus was God and died for our sins We are righteous when we live righteously, obeying and following Jesus. That is the truth in Scriptures properly divided, taken as a whole

  6. Before we address the normal accusations lovers of sin like to throw at the truth ..… Let’s Get Some Anchor Truths About RIGHTEOUSNESS out of the Way

  7. # 1 Our Righteousness Comes By Faith, Not by Religious Works Romans 1:17 For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written, the righteous will live by faith

  8. True Faith is being led by the Spirit of God. His sheep hear and follow Jesus. Faith is not saying we believe with our lips. We vote with our heart when we OBEY GOD every day! True Faith and what is “Works” has been perverted with spiritual poison by the enemy Obedience is not WORKS. “Works” is not being led by the Holy Spirit. Religion teaches works.

  9. Romans 3:10 There is no one righteous, not even one # 2 Our Own Righteousness is as FILTHY RAGS Before God Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags

  10. Before the light of Christ comes into us , we are wicked to the core. Our flesh is hostile to God and cannot please Him. All have sinned and will continue to sin unless they are transformed into a new creation John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth

  11. What uniquely defined the Pharisees? # 3 Matthew 5:20 Unless our righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees you shall by NO MEANS enter the Kingdom of God

  12. They were outwardly religious but did not know God They never stopped sinning themselves or told others to do so They had a form of godliness but denied the power of God They played CHURCH They mixed God’s religion with the things of the world

  13. SIN & Rebellion YOU Righteousness We must choose! Seek the first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness….

  14. Righteousness is like grace. IT IS A GIFT !!!!! Romans 5:17 For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, how much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousnesswill reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

  15. We are not judged by the perfect obedience of Jesus # 4 This is a lie The imputed Righteousness of Christ is only for our PREVIOUSLYcommitted sins

Romans 3:25 Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God 2 Peter 1:9 For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins

  17. Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble Kindness Godliness Self Control FAITH Love Perseverance

  19. ALL Scripture that speaks to judgment, speaks to our deeds The Gospelis not Confess and Believe The Gospel is Repent and Obey by Faith

  20. Then GO and SIN NO MORE, Following HIM and not looking back to who you used to be and formerly were in your ignorance Repent of Sin and turn your heart towards GOD. He will cleanse and wash you anew

  21. It is GRACE. The power of God inside of us, if you have the Holy Spirit and follow Him. It is the IMPARTATION of CHRIST’s RIGHTEOUSNESS that sanctifies us and purifies us of all sin

  22. This means we obey God with a pure heart # 5 We will be declared RIGHTEOUS by the LORD, ONLY IF we practice righteousness 1 John 3:7 make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous…. the one who practices sin is of the devil

  23. Paul and Peter were both chosen by Jesus to take the true gospel to the world They both told the truth that Jesus had revealed to them.

  24. Yet we are told that the words written by Paul would be perverted by those preaching a different gospel and a false jesus.

  25. 2 Peter 3:14-17 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation, as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;

  26. Acts 10:35But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him To be righteous we must actually do something!! Paul and Peter taught WE MUST OBEY GOD

  27. Paul Wrote Do you believe the WORD Jesus spoke? Do you really believe Him? 2 Cor13 - Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal Romans 3:22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference

  28. Sow to flesh or sow to the Spirit of God Romans 6:16 when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?

  29. Paul wrote nothing that contradicted what Jesus said Romans 2:13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous

  30. Righteousness is something we are trained in by our Master and Lord Righteousness must be pursued, we must seek it Still, it is a gift from God we don’t deserve

  31. Our walk with Jesus trains us to be righteous when we respond to the Spirit of God Hebrews 12 - All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness

  32. We are to walk as Jesus walked Hebrews 5:8 Though He were a Son, He learned obedience by the things which He suffered

  33. 2 Tim 2 - Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness Pursue Righteousness

  34. This is the goal, this is our hope for eternity Jesus returns only for a pure and holy Bride Righteousness Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all people,and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord

  35. Are you carrying a cross daily like Jesus said we must? Luke 9:23 If anyone wishes to come after Me, he MUST deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me

  36. AWAKEN TO RIGHTEOUSNESS and sin not!

  37. Highway Of Holiness Choose Jesus Broad Road To Destruction 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” 34Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God

  38. If Imputed Righteousness meant 1) we were forgiven in advance for ALL sin, 2) our continued sin had no eternal consequence, 3) we can’t possibly obey God and stop sinning and 4) that when God judges us he won’t see our sin but he will see Jesus instead; Why would Jesus tell us the following ?

  39. If you wish to enter life, obey the commandments Only those that DO the will of my father in heaven shall enter Repent or you too shall perish

  40. If you love me, you WILL obey what I command Why do you call me Lord Lord and not do what I say? If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be cast into hell

  41. I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice sin I tell you the truth, IF anyone keeps my word, he will never see death Small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life and only a FEW find it

  42. He who overcomes will inherit all of this… but the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderer, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars, their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur IF you obey my commands, you will remain in my love

  43. The WORD Jesus spoke to each of us will judge us on the last day. John 12 - There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day

  44. Do you believe Jesus ? Or the false shepherds of Babylon that tickle ears and draw disciples unto themselves for selfish ambition, reputation, money, esteem, and gain?

  45. Jesus has finished His Work, now we must DO OUR PART Receive His Grace and follow Him via OBEDIENCE Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age

  46. Fear God and Obey His Commandments, for this is the whole duty of man God’s will is that we obey the son The sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. They do not rest on some false teaching that perverts the imputed righteousness of Christ

  47. Wake Up To the TRUTH Ephesians 5:14 “Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead”

  48. GOD DOES NOT CHANGE! Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever more! Man has changed the gospel handed down and entrusted to the saints

  49. Ezekiel 18:24 But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live? NO SAYS GOD! None of the righteous things he has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he will die.
