  3. Gifted for Others God our Father, you have called us as your children in Christ. Open our eyes to the wonders this life sets before us. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

  4. Romans 12:6-8 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with yourfaith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

  5. Reflect • A gift is special but it is a challenge to us to ensure we use it well. • What is my gift? • How do I use it to help others?

  6. Where and when did this event take place? • Who were the key players? • Why did this event occur? Give the perspectives of both sides of the conflict.
