Definitions • Concentration: in solutions, this is how much solute is dissolved in a solvent • High concentration: large amount of solute in a given amount of solvent (sugar in Sunny D) • Low concentration: small amount of solute in a given amount of solvent (a teaspoon of sugar in a cup of coffee) • Diffusion: molecules of a solute move from a higher to lower concentration, until concentration is even
