  1. Global Standards Collaboration (GSC) 14 Standardization activities on Home Networking in CCSA DuoLIU, Deputy Secretary General of CCSA

  2. Highlight of Current Activities (1) • Developing standards for delivering multiple services provided by carriers at home (phase 1 specifications ) • Completed work: • Architecture of home network based on telecommunication network • Service Usage Scenario • Home gateway specification, an important reference for Chinese carriers e.g. CT and CU • Remote Management architecture • Remote Management Server specification, an important reference for Chinese carriers e.g. CT and CU • Remote management protocol based on TR-069, an important reference for Chinese carriers e.g. CT and CU • QoS technical requirements, an important reference for Chinese carriers e.g. CT and CU • Security technical requirements, an important reference for Chinese carriers e.g. CT and CU

  3. Highlight of Current Activities (2) • Under development: • Remote management data model for home gateway • Remote management protocol interoperability

  4. Strategic Direction • The CCSA standards development has been defined in three phases: • Phase 1: delivering multiple services provided by carriers at home • Phase 2: integrated services including telecommunication services and media share at home • Phase 3: integrated services including telecommunication services and electronics control

  5. Challenges • Integrated services requires additional work in the development of standards

  6. Next Steps/Actions • Complete currently defined work program (Phase 1 work). • Initiation of Phase 2 & 3 specifications (integrated services).

  7. Proposed Resolution [optional] • N/A
