  6. Cargo Hold Protect from loading damage Protect from cargo tampering theft or smuggling Live viewing Recording option Viewing on flight deck using Electronic Flight Bag or monitor Internal grade cameras in pressurised hold or External grade cameras suitable for non-pressurised cargo bay Baggage Hold Protect from baggage theft, smuggling or tampering Removable hard drive or flash memory Internal grade cameras Covert system No Requirement for live viewing Recorded disks are removed for later analysis Examples of CargoVu Surveillance Systems

  7. CargoVu System Advantages • Review of real time images of Cargo Holds. • Stored and real time data can be reviewed on-board or on the ground via Wireless link. This can also be reviewed anywhere in the world over a secure internet connection • Cargo Shift detection with Video Motion Detection (VMD) – standard on all video servers • Cargo can shift in flight and the system will detect this and alarm the pilots of the shift • Rapid smoke detection system for early detection of fires (optional equipment) • Using advanced algorithm technology within the system will detect early signs of smoke and fire quicker and more accurately than conventional fire suppression systems. This will allow the pilots more time to deal with the fire and possibly avoid a forced landing • Security recording of loading and unloading of goods from the aircraft • All of the images can be utilised for surveillance and security of loads on the ground and in flight. The cameras can also assist on loading oversized cargo by allowing the loadmaster to see the load being loaded and preventing clashes with the aircraft structure

  10. System for 747-8 and 747-400 Freighters

  11. CargoVu Baggage System Advantages • Security recording of loading and unloading of goods from the aircraft • All of the images can be utilised for surveillance and security of loads on the ground • Covert cameras are not easily spotted by baggage handlers • In depth knowledge of thefts can be built up over several trips • System in only recording: • When the Cargo Doors are open • When power is on the Ground Bus • When Video Motion Detection shows movement in the Cargo Bay • Or may be customized to specific customer requirements • Recordings can continue over several legs, at distant airports and be analysed back at base by management and security • Courtroom proven digital recordings allow action to be taken – password protected • Video details may be “off loaded” from aircraft via Ethernet, Gatelink, 802.11 or removable hard drive • New IP cameras developed by AD Aerospace offer true “digital” approach for video security

  12. Baggage Surveillance System for A319
