COUNTY COMMITTEE • County Committee • A 3-5 person committee elected by their local peers in November of each year • Committee then: • Provides local representation for federal programs • Provides direction for local program operations • Makes decisions on how to apply the program locally • Ensure producers are treated fairly through due process • This gives farmers a say in how federal action affect their communities and their individual operations
FSA IS A LEAD AGENCY • On administering Conservation Reserve Program • Provide support to other conservation programs • Preserving and promoting American Agriculture
