  1. Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH) sees legitimacy for a Multi Purpose Building in the centre of the future “Airport City”.

  2. Envisioned is a building for (executive) offices, shops and food & beverages, a supermarket, a cinema and/or a trade centre / showroom for products and services of (i.e.) Dutch /European companies for the Latin American market and visa versa.

  3. New Pax terminal MP Building The Multi Purpose Building is to be located at the opposite site to the new passenger terminal, just below the old mirador at the main road, the F.D. Rooseveltweg, and between the new parking lot and the supply route to the airport. Mirador

  4. The Multi Purpose Building is the centre or gateway to the future Airport City. State of the Art with regard to it’s design and it’s multi-functionality. The offices offer first-class facilities and direct access to the airport. The shops and food & beverages establishments must make it attractive for both tourists, business people and inhabitants of Curacao to spend their time on and around the airport. A cinema would have to revive the nightlife, as a result of which a more alive atmosphere arises after office hours. Also the food & beverages industry can contribute to this. A supermarket must create the connection between the airport and the surrounding residential areas.

  5. A multi level design could bridge the altitude difference between the lower parking place and the Rooseveltweg and offer space for bars and restaurants with view on the runway. The old mirador can be restored and/or could be located on top of the building. This would create the possibility for users to view the arriving and departing planes from a top spot.

  6. The eastern part between the Rooseveltweg and the supply route to the airport can be appointed as parking lot, as well as there is a possibility of creating parking lots at the other side of the Rooseveltweg. However, a possible road to the higher part (at the pink part) has to be taken into consideration as well as the road safety issues for crossing passengers. Points of interest: The building may do no infringement in the functionality of the airport.   7. Technical installation such as power + transformer building / cooling and infrastructure has to be taken into account in further development of this idea. Exit and evacuation roads, drainage, planting and lighting has to be integrated into the plan as well. Points of interest: The building may do no infringement in the functionality of the airport. U$ 10 mio The Multi Purpose Building will function as a gateway to the first phase of development opportunities on area B-east. Great opportunities are envisioned for more office buildings, cargo handling buildings, flight schools, maintenance and other airport related activities etc.

U$ 10 mio The Multi Purpose Building symbolizes the kick off for further developments around the airport, as set out in the CARE Business Plan May 2004. It will stimulate the attraction of aviation related business and activities in order to increase the amount of operations at Curacao International Airport.

  10. CAH is looking for an experienced project developer who, as a partner, can help turning this idea into reality. CAH is willing to investigate the possibility to participate and (partly) fund this project as a partner
