  7. The Intention: “School governors have a strategic role. Their purpose is to promote high standards of educational achievement. In order to do this, governors establish a strategic framework for the school within which the head teacher works.”

  8. Governors establish a strategic framework within which the head teacher works set aims and objectives for the school set policies to achieve the aims and objectives set targets to achieve the aims and objectives monitor and evaluate progress
